Project Marketing Activities

Active involvement of project stakeholder groups

Initial situation

Many companies intentionally use information and marketing measures not only for "attracting attention", but primarily as efficiency factors as many existing corporate simplifications, templates, standards or also experiences do not have to be re-invented again and again. Moreover, the significance of project management can be increased by targeted marketing as well. The success of projects is largely determined by the information quality and acceptance of stakeholder groups. Despite of useful substantial solutions, many projects fail as a result of their presentation and the way how (intermediary) results are displayed. Project marketing means to jointly work out the benefits and to communicate them in active and manifold ways. In some projects, project marketing activities build a team identity which sets free incredible energies and thus enables great results.

Objectives / Benefits

  • Encouraging successful projects through professional communication of benefits
  • Enabling the development of teams with strong identities

Procedure

Project- / program-related consulting:

  • Development of a project identity (branding, image,…)
  • Formulating project benefits with the involved stakeholder groups
  • Involvement of stakeholder groups in meetings, presentations and workshops
  • Development and implementation of a project marketing concept

Consulting for the introduction / further development of project management in the company:

  • Project management intranet presence
  • Company-internal documentation of the project management know-how and experience (Project Management-Wikipedia, knowledge base), and the relevant information about those tools
  • Company-internal newsletters and mailings
  • Progress reports which are presented as articles or interviews to the project managers
  • Project management events (seminars, conferences, …) which promote the internal further development and exchange of information
  • Reports and articles in external media and publications
  • Presentations about current developments in project management

Results
  • Active, more professional project marketing
  • Project management experience and development is professionally communicated
